Congratulations on behalf of the Administration and the Teachers of Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrna to our students Maximos Georgaras and Sergios Georgaras, who were distinguished (among 120 students from all over Greece) in the 47th National Conference of Choice of the European Youth Parliament Greece (EYP Greece) and will participate in the eight-membered Greek team of the 101st International Meeting of the European Youth Parliament that will be held in Thessaloniki in the summer of 2024.
The European Youth Parliament Greece (EYP Greece) was founded as an association in Thessaloniki in 1994 and it is the official entity of the international network of the European Youth Parliament in Greece. Since 1994, EYP Greece has organized, every year, two National Conferences of Choice, in Athens and Thessaloniki, where high school students participate. Those distinguished participate in the International Meetings of the European Youth Parliament, constituting each time our national team. The National Conferences of EYP Greece, in the last years, are carried out under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, while on a European level, all the activities of the EYP are held under the aegis of the President of the European Parliament and the General Secretary of the Council of Europe. The 47th National Conference of Choice was carried out from 26 until 29 April 2024 in Athens on the topic of “Perpetual Bloom of the Youth: Creating the basis for an innovative and empowered European future”.
