On Monday, May 4, 2026, a group of students from the Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrni, accompanied by the project coordinator, philologist and historian Mrs. Dimitra Gortsali, carried out an educational visit to the exhibition Van Gogh – The Immersive Experience.
Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience was not just an exhibition but a spectacular three-dimensional adventure that immersed us in the universe of the great artist. We enjoyed a complete presentation of the artist’s work, including guided tours of his most famous paintings, the impressive immersive area, and finally a VR experience in specially designed halls.
More than 3,000 paintings, sketches, and animated images were projected in a way that brought Van Gogh’s entire body of work to life. In a space filled with giant screens, the walls, columns, ceilings, and floors were transformed into a magical canvas through 60 high-definition projectors.
The timeless masterpieces of the universal artist were assembled and disassembled into a unique and impressive “visual planetarium” of colors and emotions. As spectators, we did not merely observe but became integrated into the exhibition itself, transforming our individual experience into a collective one and transporting us instantly into the dreamlike world of Vincent Van Gogh.
