On Monday, May 4, 2026, as part of the activities of the Physics Club, a delegation of 64 students and 5 teachers from our school visited the Eugenides Foundation.
Thirty-eight 1st Grade students and twenty-six 2nd Grade students participated in a four-hour educational visit to the Foundation. They first watched the 45-minute astronomy documentary “Beyond Earth.” The film offered a tour of our Solar System with impressive effects and scenes shown in the dome of the Digital Planetarium.
After the screening, the students were divided into groups according to grade level and took part in separate activities, rotating between them.
The 2nd Grade group attended a demonstration of experiments titled “Physics with Light” in a specially designed laboratory. Experiments on reflection, refraction, absorption, and emission of light were presented. At the end, students were photographed under special lighting conditions.
Meanwhile, the 1st Grade students participated in Mechanics experiments, including demonstrations related to Newton’s laws and inertia.
Both groups also experimented with interactive exhibits in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science at the Science and Technology Exhibition inside the Eugenides Foundation, guided by their teachers and members of the tour staff.
