A particularly important achievement was recorded by the Entrepreneurship Club of the Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrni, as the school’s student teams won both the 1st and 3rd Prizes in the final of the B/innovate innovative ideas development program.
The program was organized by the newspaper TO VIMA and ALTER EGO MEDIA, in collaboration with the Athens University of Economics and Business and ACE – the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center. The award ceremony took place in the “Faros” Hall of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
This double award is an important recognition of the creativity, innovative thinking, and systematic work of our students, who worked consistently and collaboratively throughout the program.
1st Prize – LifeBudget
The team LifeBudget won the 1st Prize with the idea:
“LifeBudget – Digital Financial Literacy Workshop”
The team members were:
- Natalia Olympia Georgiadi
- Aram Ezekelian
- Sotiris Braimis
- Stavroula Fotiadou
Their proposal concerns a digital financial literacy platform for young people aged 15–25, helping users manage their finances, understand basic economic concepts, and protect themselves from digital scams through the ScamShield feature.
The first prize includes an educational trip to Munich, sponsored by ALTER EGO MEDIA.
3rd Prize – CrisisLink
The team CrisisLink won the 3rd Prize. The team consisted of:
- Nikolaos Kretsis
- Konstantinos Tsapatsaris
- Athina Chatziantoniou
The team presented a comprehensive crisis management platform that uses artificial intelligence for early risk detection, coordination of volunteers and rescuers, and optimal distribution of humanitarian aid.
The distinction includes a one-year subscription for each team member to an artificial intelligence application, offered by ALTER EGO MEDIA.
Additionally, members of the awarded teams will receive full-access tickets to Panathenea, the international innovation festival for technology and culture, which will take place in Athens from May 27 to 29.
Warm congratulations are due to all participating students, as well as to the school’s teacher Fotini Stergiopoulou, Economist, who coordinated and supported both teams throughout the competition.
This success is yet another proof that innovation, collaboration, and creative thinking can flourish within the school community and lead young people to significant achievements.
