We are pleased to announce the distinction achieved by students of the Science Orientation of the Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrna in the 3rd Grade High School Physics Competition “Aristotle,” organized by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Department of Physics) in collaboration with the Hellenic Association for Science and Education in Physics.
Out of 766 participants nationwide in the first phase, three students from the Evangeliki School qualified for the second phase of the competition, among approximately 40 students overall. Konstantinos Giannoulas ranked 6th, while Georgios Georgiou and Manolis Ventouris ranked 16th and 19th respectively in Phase A.
During the second phase of the competition, held after the Easter holidays among the top 40 students in the country, the three students achieved remarkable results.
- Georgios Georgiou placed 6th overall (1st alternate for the Physics Olympiad)
- Konstantinos Giannoulas placed 18th
- Manolis Ventouris placed 23rd
