The student newspaper “Evangelioforos” of the Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrna was featured in TO VIMA as part of a tribute to the 2nd Panhellenic and Pancyprian School Newspapers and Journalism Competition, organized by TO VIMA and Alter Ego Media.
In the related article, titled “Spyros Vasilakos: ‘It Would Be Unthinkable for There Not to Be Other Habitable Planets’”, the journalistic activity of students from the Evangeliki School at the National Observatory of Athens is presented.
During the event, members of the editorial team spoke with the President of the National Observatory of Athens, Mr. Spyros Vasilakos, asking questions about space observation, communication with spacecraft in deep space, and the collaboration of the National Observatory with national and European space organizations.
The video of the discussion was shown at the competition’s award ceremony, highlighting the connection between student journalism and modern scientific research.
