With great joy and honor, we welcomed the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Mrs. Sofia Zacharaki, to the “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” Club of the Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrna, in a meeting that proved to be a particularly meaningful and empowering experience for our students.

Also present were the Regional Director of Primary and Secondary Education of Attica, Mr. Leonidas Mantzos, and the Director of Secondary Education of the 4th Directorate of Athens, Mr. Fotis Andreou.

Our school “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” Club participates in the “Virtual Enterprise” educational program of Junior Achievement Greece, within which Mrs. Zacharaki took part as the Inspirational Mentor of our team.

During her visit, the Club’s students presented the progress of their business idea, receiving positive and highly encouraging feedback, which strengthened their confidence and motivated them to continue their efforts with consistency and dedication.

The Minister engaged in discussion with the students, listened with interest to their presentation, and shared personal experiences from her own journey, highlighting the importance of effort, perseverance, and resilience as essential life skills. Through a constructive and sincere dialogue, she provided valuable feedback, pointed out areas for further development, and proposed new ideas and perspectives for the advancement of the students’ project.

At the same time, she encouraged the team to continue innovating, collaborating, and approaching technology with responsibility and human judgment, emphasizing the importance of balancing technological progress with human values.

Her presence, along with that of the education officials, reaffirmed the pedagogical value of experiential learning, student entrepreneurship, and the cultivation of life skills in the modern school environment, leaving our students with meaningful motivation to continue envisioning, creating, and evolving.
