With great joy and pride, the Model General Lyceum of the Evangeliki School of Smyrna announces the awarding of second-year Lyceum student of the Humanities Department, Ilianna Pappa, who won First Prize in the 13th Panhellenic Literary Competition for Debut Short Stories in memory of Kaiti Laskaridou, in the Lyceum category.

The competition, held annually under the auspices and support of the Ministry of Education, aims to enhance adolescents’ self-expression and to support the subjects of Literature and Essay Writing in Secondary Education. Students from all schools in Greece are eligible to participate, while the Jury consists of distinguished figures from the fields of literature and education, as well as representatives of the Kaiti Laskaridou Foundation.

The student’s distinction is an important recognition of her talent and creativity, as well as proof of the school’s systematic cultivation of a love for reading and literary expression.

Warm congratulations to Ilianna Pappa and to her supervising teachers, Mr. Giorgos Thodis and Ms. Lia Karimali, for their valuable guidance and continuous support of our students’ creative efforts.
