Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrna is participating as a team in the Volunteer Program of the race “Athens Marathon. The Authentic”.
The aim of the Volunteer Program is to promote the value of selfless participation and contribution in a sporting event of global scale and appeal, which will take place on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
The program attracts, selects, trains, supports, and coordinates the entire human chain of volunteers who are assigned positions along the 42.195 km of the Marathon route, providing high-quality services to runners and spectators.
Its goal is to raise community awareness and strengthen collaborations that contribute to our overall social sustainability.
The designated station for our team’s volunteer service will be at the finish line, in the Panathenaic Stadium.
The teachers in charge for our school are the PE teachers Mr. Georgios Sarlas and Ms. Smaragda Belte.
