On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 14:30 to 16:00, the Cinema Education Clubs A and B welcomed online a graduate of our school, Ms. Eirini Kariori, a permanent resident of London and an active professional in the international film industry.
Ms. Kariori spoke to the students about how her interest in artistic professions related to the performing arts was sparked, thanks to her experiences in the school’s film activities and Drama Club. She discussed her studies in London in the field of 3D objects and costumes, her career path in theatrical and cinematic productions, and her involvement in recent major productions such as “Barbie” and “Gladiator 2”.
She presented samples of her previous work to the Club participants and explained the hierarchy in the field where she works (Drapes Department), as well as the creation of wallpapers and fabrics for sets. She also spoke about the time required for their creation, the demands of her job, her working hours, the challenges she faces, and the moral satisfaction she gains from her work.
She then answered participants’ questions and concluded with words of encouragement to those interested in pursuing a career in the film industry, urging them to follow their dreams.
The meeting was engaging and constructive for the participants, as they had the opportunity to interact with an industry professional who practices a specialized artistic profession, broadening their understanding of the variety of professions in the world of cinema.
We sincerely thank Ms. Kariori for her time and for sharing her experiences with us, and we wish her every success in her future projects!
