The award ceremony for the students who participated in the 2nd Student Competition on “Inquiry Skills in Natural Sciences” took place today (May 15) at the premises of Ionios School in Filothei.
The competition is organized by the Panhellenic Pedagogical Society for Secondary Education (PA.P.E.D.E.) and the General High School of Ionios School, under the auspices of the Directorate of Secondary Education of B’ Athens. The aim of the competition is to enhance students’ knowledge of core concepts in Natural Sciences, as well as to cultivate their ability to think critically, analyze information, evaluate data, draw conclusions, and solve real-world problems.
Our students Marianna Krani-Bakopoulou and Melina Poulou shared the 1st and 2nd prizes, while the 3rd prize was also awarded to our school, with student Eleni Papazoglou. Among the top 15 awarded students were our students Elisavet Variadaki, Viktoria Kokkali, Giorgos Varlamis, Kyriaki Panigyraki, and Myrto Trakou. Additionally, Theodora Palla and Chrysa Darioti received honorable mentions for their participation.

Our students received their prizes from Mr. Athanasios Faloukas, Vice President of PA.P.E.D.E., Mr. Konstantinos Apostolopoulos, Science Education Consultant for B’ Athens, and Professor Evangelia Pavlatou of the School of Chemical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
