On Monday, April 28, 2025, as part of an interdisciplinary teaching approach, a co-teaching session combining Biology and Physical Education was conducted at our school, focusing on the function of the cardiovascular system during exercise.
Students from class A2 of the Lyceum participated in speed and endurance exercises, recording their pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation before and after the activity. Through hands-on observation and data analysis, students applied their knowledge of the cardiovascular system, gained a deeper understanding of the body’s physiological adaptations, the role of the autonomic nervous system, and the importance of good physical fitness.
The activity was led by Physical Education teachers Smaragda Belte and Giorgos Sarlas, along with Biology teacher Katerina Ntakou.
