During the school year 2024-2025, in the framework of the B class Club of Cinematic Education, a group of three students of Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrna participated with their short documentary “Solomon” (https://youtu.be/Z8_-cmJtby4) in the competition of the Hellenic Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports and the Jewish Museum of Greece on the topic “The Holocaust in the Greeks’ collective memory”. The video got the 1st substitute place and the students were invited to participate in the “Educational Programme – Visit in Auschwitz”, organized as a reward for the participation in the competition by the General Secretariat of Religious Affairs of the Hellenic Ministry of Education.
Our school team will be represented by the B3 class student Alexandra Despoina Panousaki, who worked with great fervour and interest on the topic of the competition.
We congratulate Alexandra and we hope her participation in this educational programme will offer her knowledge and experiences that will follow her in her whole life.
