Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrna participated with a 20-member group in the 8th European Student Conference held in Rome from 26 November until 1 December 2023 on the topic “Athens-Rome: A Long-lasting Journey (509 B.C. – Today). History, Civilization, Social and Political Institutions, Democracy”.
More precisely, the A and B class students Kouka Niki, Leka Sofia-Despoina, Karakasidou-Athanasiou Maria-Elpida, D’ Oria Eleni-Renata, Pateritsa Antonia, Kalogianni Aikaterini, Vogiatzi Nefeli-Foteini, Vardi Rea, Lykou Zoi, Sklavou Paraskevi, Armaou Errieta, Nonota Sofia, Vagourdis Konstantinos, Asprogerakas Christoforos, Dalamagkas Dimitrios, Kollias Antonios, Ioannou Nikolaos, Pseimadas Christos, Skartsilis Antonios and Sarafoglou Vasileios-Emmanouil, accompanied by the teachers Mr. Thodis Georgios, Greek Language and Literature teacher, and Mrs. Arnaouti Eirini, English teacher, successfully presented their paper entitled “The presence of Ancient Rome in modern pop culture: the case of Asterix the Gaul”.
