On the 17th February 2022, during the Religious Education lesson, we received in the school theatre a group of students from the Theology Department of the NKUA that attended a 2-session Model Teaching.
The Model Teaching was realised by the Religious Education teacher Mr. Sotirios Thodis, who taught the thematic unit ?The suggestion of the Christian tradition for overcoming stereotypes? to the B1 class. The students were divided into 6 groups and were asked to work in groups and express their opinions about the topics under study.
The unit was developed in four teaching stages, starting with the Experiential part, taking into consideration students? experiences, continued with Conceptualisation, during which the bridge towards theological knowledge was built, it then proceeded with the Analysis, through deeper study of the New Testament texts and was completed with the Application, during which students did activities where they were asked to take a stance towards the stereotypical conceptions of social life.
After the 2-session teaching, Mr. Kollias presented and analysed to the university students the teaching stages and answered their questions.
