Mental health action

Within the framework of the project ?Mental health actions? run in our school by the teachers Ms. P. Matthe, Mrs. A. Tsachtsarli and Mr. S. Kollias, on Friday 2 December 2022 visited our school a group of specialists from the General Secretariat of Demographic and Family Policy and Gender Equality of the Ministry of Work and Social Affairs. The group consisted of: Efrosyni Spanea, Psychologist; Katerina Kostaki, Psychologist; Marilena Mandrakou, Social Worker; Stella Palaiologou, Political Scientist; Lila Pita, Work Support Counsellor.

The interactive workshop entitled ?Violence in teenagers? relationships? was realised in the three groups of B? Class. Our students had the chance to be informed about the relationships that can turn toxic and addictive to an extent that the victim cannot distinguish the healthy from the sick. Violence in teenage relationships may be physical, sexual, psychological and threatening and aims to cause emotional, physical or social harm to one?s partner. It is an important research field since, apart from the usual negative effects of abuse, this type of violence appears in a crucial period for the social and mental development of a human.
